The NDC parliamentary aspirant in the Ningo Prampram Constituency, Sam Nartey George is optimistic that he will beat his contender by 60 percent by the end of proceedings today in the party’s primaries.

He says, his victory will come as a result of the love delegates have for him.

“…the ballot box will be opened, the declaration will be made and you will see how much love I have. I can assure you that we will cross the 60 percent mark. The results will be similar to the results between me and E.T Mensah and people will see it. I am not worried because The delegates love me.”

When Citi News, Umaru Sanda asked him if he is not perturbed by the support of this contender, Micheal Kwetey who is the constituency Chairman, Sam George said

“The fact that you are the constituency chairman doesn’t mean you have the gravitas to contest a sitting MP. My delegates love me and I love them.”

Meanwhile, Micheal Kwetey says, he is not threatened by Sam George’s chances and that is he is also confident of winning the primaries.

“I am confident of winning the election. When King Faisal and Barcelona are going to play, King Faisal can say they will win. I am the Barcelona here. I am unable to give a percent but I know I am winning the election”, he said.

Sam George warns troublemakers

Earlier, Sam Nartey George warned individuals against fomenting trouble in the primaries.

The man who is seeking to be maintained as the parliamentary candidate for the NDC ahead of the 2020 polls says some persons have informed him that they have been hired to cause mayhem at the constituency to disrupt today’s activities.

He has, therefore, warned such persons to reconsider their evil intentions or risk facing the law.

“I have received calls from people who say they have been hired to come to my constituency.  The laws of this land must work. Any racquet who is found in my field….I am calling on the security services that if they find a macho man or land guard arrest them because I am not coming with anybody. So, anybody who is coming to Ningo Prampram on Saturday to watch or cover the election and witness my victory is welcome. But if you are coming to foment trouble, you will be meet the full force of the law of the land. I am sounding that warning,” he said.
