Following the confirmed cases of the novel Corona virus in Ghana, Ghanaian singer-songwriter Edem has taken to social media to educate the Ewe speaking community on how to protect themselves from the pandemic.

In a video shared on the artiste’s Twitter page, he encouraged them to follow the laid down measures by practicing thorough handwashing, self-isolating and seeking medical support in cases where one shows symptoms consistent with that of the corona virus, avoiding social gatherings and sanitizing their hands.

He further warned them against drinking alcohol as a means to protect themselves from the deadly virus.

The ‘toto’ hit maker also advised other celebrities to follow suit and educate Ghanaians in the various local dialects in order to ably fight the disease.

A number of his fans have commended him for taking the initiative to educate them in a local dialect, saying it will help greatly in conscientising the public.
