Ghana appears to be making remarkable progress in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
This comes despite the recording of an additional 96 new cases of the viral outbreak.
The country’s current case count now stands at 2,196, according to the Ghana Health Service’s latest update, with one more person succumbing to the disease.
Also, 17 more persons are said to have recovered from the disease lifting the total recoveries to 229.
According to the latest update, the surge in cases is as a result of the compilation of results of 3,552 samples that were tested by the various testing centres across the country.
