Ghana has recorded eight more deaths by COVID-19, taking the death toll to 161.
The latest updates on the website of Ghana Health Service (GHS) did not mention any underlying conditions, which may have caused the fatalities.
Meanwhile, there are 691 new cases, taking the cumulative case count to 31,057.
According to the GHS, the new cases were from samples taken from June 17 to July 20, 2020, but reported from the lab on July 21.
Also, 27,801 people have been discharged or recovered, leaving the number of active cases at 3,095.
GHS said 23 persons are in severe conditions, while five are in critical condition, and three persons are on ventilators.
The total number of tests conducted so far is 365,281 comprising 133,852 tests conducted through routine surveillance, and 231,429 through contact tracing.
Total test positivity rate increased to 8.50 as compared to the 8.40 per the previous update.
