COP26: Okyeame Kwame joins thousands of people in Glasgow to protest against world leader for lack of action [Photos &Videos]

Following the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties, widely known as COP26 currently ongoing at Glasgow in Scotland, Ghanaian musician, songwriter and entrepreneur, Kwame Nsiah-Apau popularly known as Okyeame Kwame joined thousands of people to protest against world leader on Saturday.

These protestors who converged in Glasgow from different parts of the world say the world leaders have not shown enough commitment in the fight against climate change which is seen in the lack of global action to combat the menace.

There activists are pushing global leaders to take action to ensure that the planet does not warm more than 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) compared with pre-industrial levels.

“We want climate justice now! All the 100,000 protesters and climate activists who marched on the streets of Glasgow are looking for one thing only.. That we act to fulfill our pledges in time,” Okyeame Kwame who touts himself as Ghana’s rap doctor said during the protest.

He however admonished that, “we also have our responsibility to Climate Change whiles our leaders negotiates for the 100 Billion dollars in climate Justice. We can stop mining in the forest and rivers, stop burning our rubbish in our communities, stop over charging our phones and all the little things we….”
