A remarkable display from Arsenal saw the North London club coming from a goal behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup final match played at an empty Wembley stadium.
Star of the night, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice to secure Arsenal a place in next year’s Europa League after finishing eighth in the EPL.
Chelsea took the lead inside five minutes through Christian Pulisic’s smart finish, only for the Gabonese forward to level from the penalty spot before the break after he was fouled by Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
Injuries to Chelsea duo, Azpilicueta and the outstanding Pulisic deepened their woes as Aubameyeng produced a brilliant display, chipping over substitute keeper Willy Caballero from an angle in the 67th minute to secure Manager, Mikel Arteta his first silverware.
The Spaniard also made history becoming the first man to win the FA trophy as a captain and manager with the north London club, who picked up their record 14th win in the competition.
The former Arsenal captain was appointed coach of the club in December 2019 after a disappointing start to the Premier League under Unai Emery.
