Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has dropped excerpts of his latest documentary which will be aired on Monday, June 29, on all major stations in the country.

His exposé, titled “Corona Quacks: Exploiting the global pandemic profiting from fake cures,” seeks to uncover a COVID-19 scam worth tens of thousands of dollars.

According to the award-winning investigative journalist, the first video which will be aired on Monday focuses on how people are taking advantage of the pandemic to commit crimes through the production of fake medicines.

While the second video focuses on persons stealing COVID-19 resources in the country.

In March 2020, a National COVID-19 Trust Fund was set up by President Akufo-Addo to cushion businesses and support the needy in the wake of the pandemic.

Since then, some organisations from both the public and private sector, as well as individuals, have been supporting government with donations to help fight the virus.
