Ahafo Region: Abena of GMB 2020 fame extends philanthropic gesture to students in deprived communities

The 1st runner-up of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2020, Abena Dapaah Antwiwaa Diana has made donations to some selected schools in the Ahafo Region. The GMB queen made this donation at the Asutifi South District in the Ahafo Region.
Students from Acherensua, Konkontreso and Subriso welcomed Abena and her entourage in a cordial mood.
Donating items like sneakers, pencils, and clothing to the destitute children, she said that “I thank God for making this day a reality and giving us the gift of life. This donation has become a reality with great support from Kerry Foundation from the United States of America.” Abena Dapaah Diana.
Addressing the media during the donation, she emphasised that “once we are alive, ‘God No Go Shame Us’. Sometimes, I cry in my heart when I see students’ without better clothes, footwear, and also schooling in a dilapidated structure. I was not born with a silver spoon so I know what they go through as young ones. I thought it wise to give out the little I have to societies so that it can also put a smile on someone’s face.”
She further advised the students to take their studies seriously because the future belongs to them and their parents are looking up to them.
The Headmaster of the Roman Catholic basic school at Acherensua, Mr. Twumasi Benjamin, expressed an appreciation to Abena and her entire crew.
“On behalf of Acherensua R/C, Konkontreso, and Subriso basic schools,  we are much grateful to you for thinking about the needy with such a congenital heart. May the Almighty God bless you in double folds. I will use this opportunity as a voluminous conduit to call on all civil societies, philanthropists, and other NGOs to support us.” Mr. Benjamin.
The GMB2020 1st runner-up, who represented Ahafo Region, Abena assured them that, the kind gesture will not be the last time and stated that she has a lot of plans for them
Ms. Antwiwaa Dapaah in conclusion thanked them for their support when she represented Ahafo Region in Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2020.
“I know the good people of our beloved region are capable and cherish their own so I’m appealing you all to exhibit the same support to Akua, my successor in Ahafo to win the 2021 edition of the Ghana Most Beautiful”.
Abena urged all and sundry to obey covid 19 protocols against the Delta variant so that Ghana can defeat the Coronavirus pandemic.
