27-year-old woman arrested for allegedly beheading husband in Eastern Region

Police in the Eastern Region have arrested a 27-year-old woman for alleged gruesome murder of husband.

The unfortunate incident happened in a town named My God Village at Tei Glover, a farming Community near Akyem Bosuso in Fanteakwa South District in Eastern Region.

According to police report, the suspect, Racheal Tetteh after police search, was found with the cutlass used for the act.

The deceased, her husband, Lartey Daniel, aged 35-years, was found on a farm footpath in a pool of blood with a severed head after police visited the scene at 7:30am on Sunday following a report by community members.

Police says the body of Lartey Daniel has been deposited at New Tafo Akim Government Hospital for autopsy examination.

“The suspect has since been arrested and the cutlass with which she allegedly butchered the deceased is being kept for evidence. The case is under investigations. Any further developments will be communicated,” portions of the police statement read.
