Ghana will take on Nigeria in the final play-offs of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on March 24 and 27, 2022 respectively.

The Black Stars will host the first leg encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday March 24, before travelling to Abuja to face the Super Eagles three days later.

Both Ghana and South Africa won 13 points in Group G and after ending with the same goal difference, the Black Stars edged through courtesy of having scored one goal more than Bafana Bafana in the group (7-6).

Ghana, who sacked Milovan Rajevac as their head coach after a humiliating AFCON exit are two games away from returning to the tournament for the first time since 2014 and for the fourth time overall.

The last of three appearances by the Black Stars was in 2014 while Nigeria are seeking to qualify for the World Cup a seventh time and, since 1994, have missed only one of seven editions.
