Asante Kotoko continued their winning streak while Hearts of Oak were stunned by Karela United on match week 14 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors secured a 1-0 win over Medeama SC courtesy of George Mfegue Omgba’s 79th-minute strike at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday.

The victory extends their unbeaten run to six games and stretches their lead at the top of the league to 30 points – six points ahead of second-placed Aduana FC who play Dreams FC on Monday.

While Medeama drop to the fifth spot with 23 points after 14 Premier League matches.

Elsewhere, Hearts of Oak suffered a 1-0 defeat to Karela United at the CAM Park at Ayinase.

The game was heading to a draw until Humin Mohammed Dafie nicked in the match-winner in the 94th minute to condemn the Champions to another defeat on the road.

Great Olympics won their first match in 2022 after beating King Faisal 2-1 at the Accra Sports stadium.

Solomon Adomako opened the scoring for Olympics in the 29th minute but Zubairu Ibrahim cancelled that lead six minutes after the break to get King Faisal level.

Ebenezer Sekyere then poked home from close range inside 79 minutes to give Great Olympics a well-deserved victory at the Accra Stadium.
